Environmental Research for a Green Transition (MILJØFORSK) Application Announcement
The Environmental Research for a Green Transition (MILJØFORSK) (2016–2025) programme is the Research Council of Norway’s primary initiative for land-based environmental research and will expand the knowledge base on key environmental problems.
The programme will generate new knowledge about biodiversity, cultural environments, ecosystem services, hazardous substances and pollution, among other topics. It will also study pressures on the environment and the relationships between social drivers/measures and natural drivers/responses. This will provide a basis for solutions, future-oriented business development and more extensive cooperation between the environmental sector and trade and industry in the transition towards a sustainable society.
The programme is available for researchers wishing to do research in China, in connection with the Research Council’s CHINOR programme.
MILJØFORSK normally accepts grant applications from universities, university colleges, research institutes, the public sector and trade and industry.
The project and has an overall budget of approximately NOK 89 million per year.
The application deadline is September 7 2016.
